Maradona Spin

Ball control is one of the most important aspects of soccer you can learn. After you have conquered some basic moves, like the scissors, lunge and hesitation moves, it is time to move on to more advanced moves. The Maradona move is one of the best advanced moves you can do to successfully fake out most defenders.

1.Dribble the ball slowly forward while passing it from your right foot to your left foot and back again.

2.Place your right foot on top of the ball, causing the ball to come to a complete stop. Your foot should remain on the ball the entire time.

3. Jump into the air, pushing up with your left foot.

4. Rotate your body on your right foot, which should still be on the ball.

5. Replace your right foot with your left foot on the ball while your body continues to spin.

6.Roll the ball forward with your left foot instead of lifting your foot from the ball as you did with your right foot.

7. Dribble the ball away after the Maradona move.

8. Add an element of challenge by performing the Maradona move with your left foot.

9.Increase the speed you dribble the ball and practice Maradona move until you can do it fluidly at full speed.
